It’s wild to me that people are wondering why no one checked on Gene Hackman and his wife. The harsh reality is the loneliness and isolation of disability and caregiving. It’s not like tv/movies where community is always there to help you. I worry about this a lot, honestly.

I didn't expect one of my posts to take off like it did. I'm so grateful to everyone for sharing their stories, but I feel heartbroken that so many of us feel isolated and alone in our illnesses or our caregiving. There's a real lack of community and support these days and it shouldn't be that way.

I logged on thinking I could handle some news. I can't. It's hard when online is your main way to socialize, but online is a really stressful, scary window to the stressful, scary world. I guess I'll log off and play the Sims to escape for a bit. Goodnight, kind people. Thank you for being lights.🕯️
