I was talking with a friend my age not long ago about how she received the largest amount of male interest from older men when she was ~8 years old to around 19 or so. At least a couple of them--from church, mind you--said she was "worth the risk with law enforcement". She wasn't safe at church.
Dad broke all his toes in a workshop accident at one job, had to have his lungs tested regularly as part of his coal processing plant job--he also lost a finger to that one, thanks to an inattentive coworker. He'd come home and lie on the floor. His last years featured a lot of physical pain.
