In my small corner of biology, I’m constantly reassured by how frequently we confirm main findings. And then when differences do show up, they very rarely end up being fraud, but instead tell us something important about differences in experimental design.

Universities and research institutes are the official recipients for grants, not individual PIs. I believe this EO applies to research institutions.

I've had colleagues argue that lower indirects would be *good* for them because it would increase their direct award sizes. I've spent a whole lotta time arguing back with things like good luck submitting with no admin support. Assuming we don't abandon research entirely.
