I think part of why so many men believe women only want the figure on the right is that it gives them an easy excuse for why they're single. If women prefer the body on the left though, then it's not the body itself that's the problem, it's *them,* and who they are as a person. (IMHO as a man) 1/2
I think his final strip is its own masterclass in how to close out a beloved series too.
Pulling that thread means they'd have to change who they are in order to be attractive, and they don't want to do the work. Instead, it's easier to lie to themselves and each other; miring themselves in perpetual victim-hood. Women recognize it's still a choice though, even if men refuse to. 2/2
