This is exactly correct. Several Marvel characters whom Disney had made and will continue to make lots of money on are only viable at all because of David’s work. That he and his family had to spend any of their precious time together worrying about money for his care is obscene. It’s sin.

If you made the exact pilot of Superman TAS now - rulers of a planet are hostile toward scientific evidence that their planet if about to explode due to their quasi-religious reliance on an AI, leading to their total destruction - the response would rightly be “this is kind of on the nose.”
