Saying the same thing to my clients. All of us who provide gender-affirming care need to follow suit. If enough of us do this, and if others stand with us, we can, at the very least, make it much more difficult for them to strip our care. All the providers I know are holding the line right now.
Sounds like they've been taking notes on MT HHS, which dragged its feet on compliance with BC changes for a long time. Bottom line: be careful trying to make changes right now, hold off if you can.
To me they often have qualities similar to the religious iconography that I grew up with...which always felt equally "fake," even though it was human-generated. I don't know how to read the aesthetic aspects that make it feel that way. I think especially about JW art in this regard.
